Fishing Reports

Sat April 26th. Hello to all well we got out Saturday with a fairly light crowd. We hit 4 spots with lots of life on all. It was pretty much drop and crank for blackfish all day. I would say we probably landed between 350 and 400 hundred tog but the only problem was the big ones just were not chewing however all took fillets home. Teddy from North Jersey won the pool with one of about 4lbs. Due to the famous forcasters for weather, we didnt sail Sunday due to lack of customers. Tight Lines To All Brant

Sat April 19th. Hello to all it sure was nice to be back out on the water again, Saturday we had a nice group of fisherman aboard, it was a strange day some did really well and some just didnt catch. It seemed like the fish were concentrated in certain spots on the wrecks, one little guy of about 6 or 7 yrs. old I would guess was high hook with 2 cod and 3 or 4 tog, he just missed the pool getting edged out by a cod of about 9 lbs.

Sun April 20th. On sunday we only had a handful of guys show up but we went anyway, everyone had there limit but one I believe. There were nice fish in the 4 to 6 lb. range, no cod today pool winner was Tommy Hook with one just under 9 lbs. Even Frank and myself each took 3 home. Hope to see you all soon. Brant

Tues. April 15th. Ok Folks the word is in!!! We will kick off the new season Saturday April 19th sailing from 7am to 3pm for blackfish. So far the weather looks good so tell your friends its time to go fishing.

Thurs. April 10th. Hi again Tommy here, Just to let you know the regulations page has been updated with 2008 information as per the dept of fish and game. Today was a hell of a nice day with temperatures up in my area reaching well into the 60's. I did a little trout fishing up here in the Rockaway River this morning. I caught & released nine brook trout up to 13 inches. I should be hearing from Frank again soon with an update on when they will begin to sail. In the mean time, head on over to your local tackle shop and get them reels spooled up, refill your sinker cans and buy some fresh rigs to gear up for the new season.

Monday Mar 31st. Hello and Welcome back for 2008! Captain Frank informed me that they will be going to the boat yard for paint job and hope to be sailing again sometime after the 15th of April. We will update as the time approaches. Hope all of you are ready and able to fish. Thank God the long winter is finally coming to an end! I for one cant wait to get out of the cabin!

Tuesday Jan 29th. Hey gang we were going to try to sail on Saturday but the weather from tommorow on into Saturday does not look good and I have had the flu since Sunday. Looks like it is a wrap for the season Brant and I will be taking the boat over to the ship yard for some sprucing up. It was wonderful seeing all of our old friends and a pleasure meeting our new friends. We will begin sailing again in April.
